This is the official launch of Victoria's World AIDS Day events. It's an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness.

Come by and chat to the Qclinic team, pick-up a red ribbon and some World AIDS Day goodies and sweet treats. The skilled team can answer lots of questions about HIV and dispel the myths.

This year WAAC will be taking Forrest Chase to bring attention to World AIDS Day and the important work that has been happening in the LGBTIQA+ and Healthcare sectors of the community.

On the 1st of December each year we celebrate the progress that we have made in response to HIV. The research, care, treatment and prevention currently in place give us hope for the future, we are progressing in a positive direction.

Each year WAAC host our Morning Breakfast for members of the community, people living with HIV, stakeholders and anyone who wants to come and show their support, so please come and enjoy a fully catered morning breakfast.

The World AIDS Day Street Appeal will see an army of Thorne Harbour volunteers take to the streets on 1 December - to hand out red ribbons and remind everyone that HIV Still Matters.

Held at the homeless hub, the team from Mt Isa Sexual Health, together with Arthur Petersen Diversionary Centre will offer breakfast to their communities together with information about World AIDS Day and where to get HIV testing and support.

Enter the surfboard competition and win a hand painted Indigenous surfboard. Winner will be drawn 1 December to acknowledge World AIDS Day.

The Townsville Sexual Health team will be available to answer questions, dispel myths, increase awareness about PrEP and reduce stigma about HIV, plus cupcakes and goodies.

The Cape Byron Lighthouse will be lit in red for three nights to celebrate World AIDS Day December 1.
