About the event
The objective of the activation is to raise awareness in the community about the issues surrounding HIV and AIDS, particularly the continuing impacts of stigma and discrimination. World AIDS Day is an opportunity for people to show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died of AIDS. A breafast will be held in the morning for internal and external partners, stakeholders, and community members. This will be followed by having information stalls set up throughout Yagan Square during the day and then the lights across the city will turn red and an outdoor film will play on the digital tower in Yagan square. The event is free.
